OUR STORY
Born on the court. Made for everyday.
Twenty years of basketball and running taught me how to fuel a body. Then I realized the snacks I needed didn't exist. So I made them.
My name is Sarika Bisht. I grew up with a basketball under one arm and running shoes laced up before sunrise — and a snack drawer that never had what I actually needed.
The market was full of snacks. None of them were made for someone like me. None of them were made for any of us. This is the story of how that gap became Core Crave.
THE GIRL ON THE COURT
I was eleven when I picked up my first basketball.
For as long as I can remember, sport was my world. Pre-dawn runs along quiet streets. Court drills before school. Tournaments and meets stitched my school years together — basketball finals, cross-country races, scraped knees, lost matches, won finals.
And in between every drill, every match, every long bus ride to a game, I was hungry. Hungry, and reaching for whatever the canteen had on offer.
WHAT SPORT TAUGHT ME
How to listen to my body.
You can't run a 10K or play four quarters of basketball without learning what fuels you. By college, I'd developed a quiet obsession with food — not as a diet, but as a system. What I ate before a game changed everything. What I ate after a long run mattered even more.
I learned that energy isn't just calories. It's clean, slow, sustaining. The kind that holds you through overtime and the last kilometre. The kind that doesn't betray you with a sugar crash at 4 PM.
THE GAP
Years later, off the court, the same problem.
Off the court, but still living in a body that demanded consistency, I found myself facing the same problem — just without the matches and the morning miles.
Long days. Missed meals. Mindless snacking. Energy spikes that didn’t last.
Everything labelled “healthy” felt like a compromise.
Over-engineered. Over-sweetened. Or stripped of any real joy.
And the more I spoke to women around me — balancing careers, hormones, PCOD, motherhood, movement — the clearer it became.
We were all asking the same question.
Why does nothing exist that is made for us — something that truly nourishes, supports our bodies, and still feels like something you want to reach for again?
That question stayed with me.
THE KITCHEN
Six months. A hundred batches. One recipe.
So I started making them myself.
Fistfuls of dates. Almonds I roasted at home. Pumpkin seeds for the women I knew with PCOD. Oats for slow-burn energy on long runs. Flax for hormones. Cardamom because what is a laddoo without cardamom.
I tested every batch on my closest people — my mum, my running group, my old basketball teammates, my friends with autoimmune issues, my friends with babies. We threw out version after version. Too sweet. Too dry. Too dense. Too bland.
After six months, four people I trusted said the same words on the same day: this is the one.
MEET THE FOUNDER

Founder • Athlete • Runner
An athlete by discipline, an entrepreneur by instinct.
Two decades on the basketball court and running track shaped my understanding of performance, resilience, and what the body truly deserves. What began as a pursuit of better nutrition turned into a quiet obsession — to create food that is as intentional as it is indulgent.
Core Crave was born in my Bangalore kitchen, with a singular philosophy: that nourishment should never feel like compromise. Each creation is designed for the modern woman — balancing ambition, health, and life — whether she’s managing PCOD, stepping into motherhood, chasing a sunrise run, or simply choosing better for herself.
Every batch is still touched, tasted, and perfected by me. Because luxury, to me, is not excess — it is care, detail, and integrity in every ingredient.
This is not just food.
It is a standard.
— Crafted with intention, always.
